Avocado

I had my first avocado at 40. I was missing an amazing brain food!

Now, when I need a quick hit of energy, I cut open an avocado and the magic begins. I like mine with fresh lemon and Himalayan salt.

Avocados are rich in monounsaturated fat, which is considered healthy fat. They also contain potassium and vitamin k which is also great for heart health.

Avocados contain folate which is essential for brain health and the maintenance of cognitive function, including memory.

I find an instant brain boost…like a switch has been turned on…within minutes of eating an avocado. It’s now on my grocery list and in many of my restaurant menu choice dishes.
